Canadian Coastal has taken measures during this challenging time to positively redefine your sailing experience.

Your safety and comfort will always be our key priority.

It is with sincere pleasure that we welcome our guests and invite you to join Canadian Coastal in Squamish this summer for an acclaimed sailing tour.

Our safety protocols include increased cleaning, disinfecting and sanitizing measures and new operational guidelines for guests and employees. These standards reflect our commitment to your safety and comfort by reducing the potential spread of COVID-19.

Our mission has always been to offer unique, personable and safe sailing activities in a professional, entertaining and natural outdoor environment. To help achieve this, our new health measures have been identified below.

Frequently Asked Questions

Canadian Coastal sailing tours are designed to be a safe and adventurous outdoor activity. We offer fully crewed private and shared sailboat tours departing from Squamish, only a short drive from Vancouver and Whistler.

It is important that you to feel confident in your decision to sail with us. In addition to our regular Frequently Asked Questions, please review the following information regarding our new measures and guidelines.

As sailors, we practice the tradition of 'shipshape,' meaning that our maintenance, safety and cleaning protocols have always aimed high and exceeded the requirements of governing authorities.

To reduce the potential spread of COVID-19, cleaning, disinfecting and sanitizing measures of check-in facilities, vessel cabin and outside decks is completed prior to departure. In addition to regular cleaning, new disinfection procedures have been added to increase the sanitization of frequently touched areas such as rails, tables, door handles and the cabin.

  • Hand sanitizers have been added in the most strategic areas of the docks and vessels.

  • Guests will receive a mask as part of their check-in package.

  • Snack and beverage service has been temporarily discontinued.

  • On shared tours, a maximum number of 'social bubbles' will be allowed on board, and guests from different bubbles will be separated by 2 meters.

Employee’s health is monitored and we require employees to stay home if they are sick. Guests are asked screening questions upon check-in and use hand sanitizer before boarding. Physical distancing procedures have been implemented during check-in, embarking, sailing, and disembarking.

Yes. Access to the vessel will be refused to any guest who is symptomatic, has recently travelled or who has been in contact with a suspected, probable, or confirmed case of COVID-19. No exceptions will be made.

Guests are required to bring a mask or will be given a mask upon arrival. Masks are required to be worn in situations where social distancing cannot be maintained. For example, if two people from different social bubbles are below deck at the same time.
